Juneteenth (June 19th) 1865 marks the date when some of the last enslaved people in the Confederacy were notified of their freedom following the Civil War, resulting in a massive and traditional celebration.

Recently declared a national holiday in 2021 we continue to commemorate this day and it’s significant place in American History.
